Plastic Surgery News is reaching out to readers on a weekly basis. On Tuesday, Feb. 7, ASPS membership, residents and related industry professionals received the inaugural edition of the PSN Connection e-newsletter - which will be delivered via e-mail each Tuesday.

PSN Connection features a series of direct links to articles about breaking news in the specialty from both major media outlets and leading industry-specific publications such as PSN and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition, the e-publication will rotate its focus on education, science, advocacy and research on a weekly basis and provide quick links to the most popular areas of the ASPS website for members.

The e-newsletter will also include a link to a digital edition of the most recent issue of PSN.

From early 2010 through January 2012, ASPS worked with Smartbrief to provide a weekly e-mail featuring plastic surgery-related content. ASPS has decided not to renew its contract with the Smartbrief service in 2012.

"We believe that the PSN Connection e-newsletter will allow us to communicate more directly with ASPS members and industry partners and provide more value," says ASPS President Malcolm Roth, MD.

PSN Connection was originally introduced to ASPS membership as a monthly e-mail blast last summer and received consistently strong audience response and positive feedback. As a weekly e-publication, the PSN editors in cooperation with the ASPS media relations team will collaborate on the new weekly e-publication.
