ASPS launches new Facebook pages
ASPS has packed its "virtual" bags and taken up residence on a new Facebook page. In an effort to maximize online SEO potential, ASPS has re-created and re-named its public page "ASPS (American Society of Plastic Surgeons)." There is also now a Facebook page specifically for ASPS Member Surgeons titled "ASPS (Member Surgeons)."
Research has shown that more consumers are recognizing and using the acronym ASPS - which formerly wasn't part of the Facebook title. In an effort to increase search-result appearances, ASPS included the acronym in the official page name for the Society, prompting the move.
The page is designed as an educational tool for the public, with content ranging from hot topics in the news to information on reconstructive procedures.
The new page now also has the Find-a-Surgeon functionality built-in, so anyone looking for an ASPS member has a direct link to the most comprehensive database of board-certified plastic surgeons. The Facebook page also provides links to ASPS' other social media platforms like YouTube and Twitter, so the public can connect with ASPS in a variety of ways.
ASPS welcomes your insights on the topics we post - feel free to visit often and add your thoughts. The old page will disappear in the coming weeks, so please "like" our new page and encourage your patients to do the same.
